An act upgrading the Batangas Subdistrict Engineering Office of Lipa City into a regular District Engineering Office to be known as the District Engineering Office of Lipa City and appropriating funds therefor

AN ACT UPGRADING THE BATANGAS SUBDISTRICT ENGINEERING OFFICE OF LIPA CITY INTO A REGULAR DISTRICT ENGINEERING OFFICE TO BE KNOWN AS THE DISTRICT ENDINEERING OFFICE OF LIPA CITY AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFOR

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippine Congress Assembled:

SECTION 1. The Batangas Subdistrict Engineering Office of Lipa City is hereby upgraded into a regular district engineering office.

SEC. 2. The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) shall promulgate the necessary rules and regulations to implement this Act.

SEC. 3. The Secretary of the DPWH shall include in its program the funding requirements for the operationalization of the Batangas Engineering District of Lipa City in the year following its enactment into law and thereafter.

SEC. 4. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.

This Act, which originated in the House of Representative was finally passed by the House of Representatives and the Senate on May 7, 2002 and April 2, 2003 respectively.
