AN ACT ESTABLISHING A NATIONAL SCIENCE HIGH SCHOOL IN BARANGAY JALAUD IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF BAROTAC NUEVO, PROVINCE OF ILOILO TO BE KNOWN AS JOSE MONFORT NATIONAL SCIENCE HIGH SCHOOL, APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFOR AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippine Congress Assembled:

SECTION 1. there shall be established under the supervision of the Department of Education (DepEd), a national science high school in Barangay Jalaud, Municipality of Barotac Nuevo, Province of Iloilo to be known as the Jose Monfort National High School.

SEC. 2. The site of said national science high school shall be located within the compound of the Jose S. Monfort State College, Barangay Jalaud, Barotac Nuevo, Iloilo.

SEC. 3. The DepEd shall issue such rules and regulations as may be necessary to carry out the purposes of this Act.

SEC. 4. The Secretary of the DepEd shall immediately include in its program the operationalization of the Jose Manfort National Science High School, the funding of which shall be included in the annual General Appropriations Act.

SEC. 5. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.

This Act which originated in the House of the Representatives was finally passed by the House of Representatives and the Senate on August 5, 2002 and February 6, 2004, respectively.
