AN ACT UPGRADING THE ZAMBALES SUBDISTRICT ENGINEERING OFFICE INTO A REGULAR ENGINEERING OFICE TO BE KNOWN AS THE ZAMBALEZ SECOND DISTRICT ENGINEERING OFFICE AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFOR

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippine Congress Assembled:

SECTION 1. The Zambales Subdistrict Engineering Office is hereby upgraded into a regular engineering district office. It shall be known as the Zambales Second Engineering District Subsequently, the existing engineering district office located at Iba, Zambales shall be known as the Zambales First Engineering District.

SEC. 2. The Zambales Second Engineering District shall assume jurisdiction over infrastructure and public works in all barangays of the First Congressional District of Zambales.

SEC. 3. The Secretary of the Department of Public Works and Highways shall include in its program the funding requirements for operationalization of the Zambales Second Engineering District in the year following its enactment into law and thereafter.

SEC. 4. This act shall take effect upon its approval.

This Act which is a consolation of House Bill No. 5957 and Senate Bill No. 2684 was finally passed by the House of Representatives and the Senate on February 2, 2004 and January 30, 2004, respectively.
