Republic Act No. 9411

AN ACT DECLARING JANUARY 22 OF EACH YEAR A SPECIAL NONWORKING HOLIDAY IN THE CITY OF VIGAN, ILOCOS SUR TO COMMEMORATE ITS ANNIVERSARY AS A CITY

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippine Congress Assembled:

Section 1. January 22 of every year is hereby declared a special nonworking holiday in the City of Vigan, Ilocos Sur to commemorate its anniversary as a city.

Section 2. This Act shall take effect fifteen (15) days from its publication in at least two newspapers of general circulation in the Philippines.

This Act which originated in the House of Representatives was finally passed by the House of Representatives and the Senate on November 14, 2005 and January 22, 2007, respectively.
