Republic Act No. 9438

AN ACT CHANGING THE NAME OF THE BABATNGON NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF BABATNGON, PROVINCE OF LEYTE TO JUAN S. TISMO NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippine Congress Assembled:

Section 1. Renaming a National High School. – The name of the Babatngon National High School in the Municipality of Babatngon, Province of Leyte is hereby changed to Juan S. Tismo National High School.

Sec. 2. Effectivity. – This Act shall take effect fifteen (15) days after its publication in the Official Gazette.

This Act which originated in the House of Representatives was finally passed by the House of Representatives and the Senate on October 13, 2006 and February 19, 2007, respectively.
