Republic Act No. 9642

AN ACT DECLARING MARCH 16 OF EVERY YEAR AS ROMBLON FOUNDATION DAY AND A SPECIAL NONWORKING PUBLIC HOLIDAY IN THE PROVINCE OF ROMBLON

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:

Section 1. March 16 of every year is hereby declared as Romblon Foundation Day and a special nonworking public holiday in the Province of Romblon.

Section 2. This Act shall take effect fifteen (15) days following its publication in two (2) national newspapers of general circulation.

This Act which originated in the House of Representatives was finally passed by the House of Representatives and the Senate on November 17,2008 and March 2,2009, respectively.
