Republic Act No. 9683

AN ACT DECLARING SEPTEMBER 18 OF EVERY YEAR A SPECIAL NONWORKING HOLIDAY IN THE CITY OF BISLIG, PROVINCE OF SURIGAO DEL SUR

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representative of the Philippines in Congress assembled:

Section 1. September 18 of every year is hereby declared a special nonworking holiday in the City of Bislig, Province of Surigao del Sur to commemorate the signing of Republic Act No. 8804 declaring Bislig a city of Surigao del Sur.

Section 2. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.

This Act which originated in the House of Representatives was finally passed by the House of Representatives and the Senate on June 11, 2008 and May 26, 2009, respectively.
