An Act Upgrading the Nueva Vizcaya Sub-District Engineering Office Into a Regular District Engineering Office to Be Known as Nueva Vizcaya Second District Engineering Office and Appropriating Funds Therefor

AN ACT UPGRADING THE NUEVA VIZCAYA SUB-DISTRICT ENGINEERING OFFICE INTO A REGULAR DISTRICT ENGINEERING OFFICE TO BE KNOWN AS THE NUEVA VIZCAYA SECOND DISTRICT ENGINEERING OFFICE AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFOR

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representative of the Philippines in Congress assembled:

Section 1. The Nueva Vizcaya Sub-District Engineering Office shall be upgraded into a regular district engineering office to be known as the Nueva Vizcaya Second District Engineering Office and shall be located at Barangay Malasin, Dupax del Norte, Nueva Vizcaya.

Section 2. The said district engineering office shall comprise the municipalities of Kasibu, Aritao, Dupax del Norte, Dupax del Sur, Kayapa, Sta. Fe and Alfonso Castañeda.

Section 3. The Secretary of Public Works and Highways shall include in the Department's program the operationalization of the Nueva Vizcaya Second District Engineering Office, the funding of which shall be included in the annual General Appropriations Act.

Section 4. This Act shall take effect fifteen (15) days after its publication in a newspaper of general circulation.

This Act which originated in the House of Representatives was finally passed by the House of Representatives and the Senate on October 7, 2008 and May 26, 2009, respectively.
