AN ACT UPGRADING THE TARLAC SUB-DISTRICT ENGINEERING OFFICE INTO A REGULAR DISTRICT ENGINEERING OFFICE TO BE KNOWN AS THE TARLAC SECOND DISTRICT ENGINEERING OFFICE AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFOR

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representative of the Philippines in Congress assembled:

Section 1. The Tarlac Sub-District Engineering Office located at the NIA Compound in Barangay Jefmin, Concepcion, Tarlac is hereby upgraded into a regular district engineering office and shall be known as the Tarlac Second District Engineering Office.

Section 2. The said district engineering office shall assume jurisdiction over infrastructure and public works in all barangays in the Third Congressional District of Tarlac.

Section 3. The Secretary of Public Works and Highways shall include in the Department's program the operationalization of the Tarlac Second District Engineering Office, the funding of which shall be included in the annual General Appropriations Act.

Section 4. This Act shall take effect fifteen (15) days after its publication in a newspaper of general circulation.

This Act which originated in the House of Representatives was finally passed by the House of Representatives and the Senate on October 7, 2008 and May 26, 2009, respectively.
