Republic Act No. 9778

AN ACT DECLARING JANUARY 12 OF EVERY YEAR A SPECIAL NONWORKING PUBLIC HOLIDAY IN THE CITY OF TALISAY, PROVINCE OF CEBU TO BE KNOWN AS THE CHARTER DAY OF THE CITY OF TALISAY

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:

Section 1. January 12 of every year is hereby declared to be a special nonworking public holiday in the City of Talisay, Province of Cebu to commemorate its founding day and to be known as the "Charter Day of the City of Talisay".

Section 2. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.

This Act which originated in the House of Representatives was finally passed by the House of Representatives and the Senate on November 17, 2008 and August 24,2009, respectively.
